The 4AM is GAST's most widely used air-motor frame: 1.27 kW at 3,000 rpm from a cast-iron body about 150 mm long. The F in the model code denotes a foot (base) mounting, so the motor bolts to a plate or machine frame like a conventional foot-mounted electric motor. The -63A configuration uses an 8-vane rotor rather than the standard 4 vanes, which gives smoother torque and a higher starting torque at low speed.

Frame-level figures (torque, air consumption, shaft) are taken from the GAST 4AM datasheets for the sister models 4AM-NRV-22B and 4AM-NRV-54A and are marked indicative above. Like all AM motors it can be throttled from 300 to 3,000 rpm, stalled without damage and reversed instantly, and carries CE / ATEX II 2 GD c T4 marking.
