The 4AM-NRV-54 (current revision 4AM-NRV-54A) is the 8-vane, face-mounted reversible version of GAST's 1.27 kW (1.7 HP) 4AM air motor, giving higher starting torque and smoother low-speed running than the 4-vane 22B.

The 4AM-NRV-54 shares the housing, face mount, shaft and ratings of the 4AM-NRV-22B but uses an 8-vane rotor. With twice as many vanes the motor produces torque more evenly through each revolution, starts more reliably from rest under load and runs more smoothly at the bottom of its 300–3,000 rpm range, which makes it the preferred choice for gear-motor and positioning duties.

Rated output is 1.27 kW at 3,000 rpm with 6.33 Nm maximum torque and 36.8 L/s air consumption at 7 bar. The motor is lubricated (GAST AD220 or SAE 10 detergent oil), can be stalled without damage, and carries CE and ATEX II 2 GD c T4 marking. GAST's current catalogue revision is designated 4AM-NRV-54A.
