In particleboard, MDF and plywood production, dosing resin and glue in the right proportion directly affects product quality. We offer thermal oil pumps for heating hot presses, gear and viscous-product pumps for viscous glues, and pneumatic systems for conveying sawdust and dust.

Panel plants work with sticky resins, hot presses and large volumes of fine dust, a combination that is hard on pumps and conveying lines. Sine pumps meter urea-formaldehyde, MUF or PMDI glues accurately at varying viscosity and without shearing them, which keeps resin content per board consistent. Thermal oil pumps circulate oil at high temperature through press platens and dryers, and dilute phase systems convey sawdust and sanding dust to silos or burners. For a proposal, send the glue type and viscosity, dosing rate, thermal oil temperature and flow, and dust volumes and distances.

Frequently asked questions

Which pump keeps glue dosing accurate on a particleboard line?

Positive displacement pumps such as sine or gear pumps deliver a flow proportional to speed, so dosing follows line throughput reliably. Sine pumps suit filled or shear-sensitive resins. Glue viscosity across the temperature range, solids content and the required flow decide the pump type.

What should I check when selecting a thermal oil pump for press heating?

Check maximum oil temperature, typically 250–300 °C, the required flow and pressure through the platens, and the shaft seal design, since standard seals fail at these temperatures. Air-cooled or magnetically coupled designs avoid external cooling water. Oil type also affects the choice.
